Samaritan House
Paying your power, gas, or water bills can be overwhelming, especially after the loss of a job or other emergency. If you are having trouble keeping up with your utility bills, Samaritan House may be able to assist. Residents are matched with a case manager who helps him/her navigate our Levels Program. Each resident commits to goals that will help them obtain stable income and housing. Also, the Samaritan House is a food pantry and assists with clothing for anyone in need.

Rent Assistance
First Family - Rent and Housing Authority
If you are in need of emergency housing or rent payment assistance, First Family is here to assist you. This organization also helps individuals with job readiness and training, parenting education, and case Management, which includes: budgeting, application, medication, childcare, and food assistance.

Landlord Assistance
Community Action Agency of Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Calhoun and Cleburne Counties (TCRCC)
If you are a landlord in need of property assistance due to struggling tenants, help is available. Other programs, including rent, utility, and readiness, may also be available (Talladega office location only).

Prescription Assistance
AIDB Senior Services
AIDB Senior Services is open and able to offer prescription medication assistance to Talladega residents of any age. The Senior Services Department at AIDB is committed to providing services to Alabamians with hearing and vision impairments so that they can remain functionally independent. Prescription assistance is available to anyone of any age with proof of hardship. In addition, this organization offers health insurance counseling, hearing and vision screenings, information and referral services, health education information, and the (PEARLS) Stress Management Program.
