Talladega Seven Organization honored with proclamation

Talladega Seven Organization honored with proclamation

(Talladega, AL) Mayor Ashton Hall presented a proclamation honoring Talladega Seven during Monday's Talladega City Council meeting.

Talladega Seven was founded in 2020 by seven dedicated friends who sought to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the Talladega community. The organization began its mission by awarding a $1,000 scholarship in memory of a classmate. The organization identified the growing student dropout rate as a critical area of need and, in partnership with Talladega High School, launched the Commitment to Graduate (C2G) Program in 2021 to inspire students to complete their education and pursue ambitious goals for the future.

Talladega Seven expanded its efforts by sponsoring college tours, forming partnerships with nonprofits and city leaders, and collaborating with organizations such as the Umbrella of Hope and the United Way of North Talladega to provide meals, toys, beds, coats, and other essential resources to families and children in need.

Mayor Hall commended the organization for its unwavering commitment to service, noting that Talladega Seven has "created a renewed sense of hope and opportunity for countless individuals, ensuring that every person they serve has the tools, support, and resources needed to succeed."
