Talladega Police Department Reserve Program awarded $1000.00 National Police Association grant

(Talladega, AL) The Talladega Police Department (TPD) Reserve Program was recently awarded a $1000.00 grant from the National Police Association. The funds will be used for equipment for officers in the Reserve Program.

“We are thrilled to receive valuable support for our Reserve Program officers, who play an integral role in assisting our full-time police officers,” said Interim Police Chief Ronald McElrath.  “We are grateful to TPD employee Anna Eliuk for her efforts in securing the grant and to the National Police Association for presenting us with this award.”  

City Manager Derrick Swanson stated, “I applaud the Talladega Police Department for successfully applying for and receiving this prestigious grant, which will enhance our Reserve Program. It is an honor for our police department to be recognized by the National Police Association.”
