Talladega Christmas Tree Lighting December 9, 2024

(Talladega, AL) The City of Talladega's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 4 p.m., on Talladega's Historic Courthouse Square. The parade will begin at 6 p.m.
These and other exciting holiday events in Talladega will lead up to Christmas on the Square, which will be held December 13th - December 15th.
Activities begin Friday, December 13th, at 6 p.m., with free outdoor ice skating on the square and a free Polar Express Movie and Best Pajama Contest at the Historic Ritz Theatre that also begins at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, December 14th, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., there will be free outdoor ice skating, free photos with Santa, free Santa’s workshop with crafts for kids, free holiday train rides, free bug rides, a free bounce house, food trucks, vendors and free movies at the Ritz. Elf will show at 11 am; Tyler Perry’s “A Medea Christmas” will be featured at 2 pm; and Disney’s “A Christmas Carol” begins at 6 pm.
On Sunday, December 15th, from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., there will be free outdoor ice skating; free photos with Santa; free Santa’s workshop with crafts for kids; free holiday train rides; free bug rides; a free bounce house; food trucks; vendors and free movies at the Ritz Theatre. Christmas Vacation will show at 1 pm and Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be featured at 4 p.m.
