City urges residents to spay and neuter pets

(Talladega, AL) The City of Talladega announced that dog and cat owners with household incomes below $49,000 may purchase a low-cost certificate for spay or neuter surgery through ASPCI’s Spay/Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP).  By spaying or neutering their pets, owners help to save animal lives and control the pet homelessness crisis. Each year, millions of healthy dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States due to a lack of available homes.

SNAP Certificate Costs:

$70.00 - male dogs

$75.00 - female dogs

$45.00 - male cats

$50.00 - female cats

Pets must be up to date on vaccinations. Add $50.00 if vaccinations are required. Participating clinics include Lincoln Vet Clinic and most St. CLaire County vets.

Certificates available at ASPCI Administrative Office
