City of Talladega holds diaper drive for Diaper Row

City of Talladega holds diaper drive for Diaper Row

(Talladega, AL) Residents who contributed to the City of Talladega’s recent diaper drive for Diaper Row at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church helped many local families keep their babies clean, dry and healthy.

“Thank you to the City of Talladega for hosting a citywide Diaper Drive to benefit Diaper Row at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The citizens of Talladega donated 1,203 diapers to help with the diaper need. We are grateful for their help and hopefully we have raised awareness for this need,” said Lynn Sims of Diaper Row. “Diaper Row distributes diapers on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church located at 208 North Street in Talladega. We always welcome volunteers!”

“The city is fully committed to serving our entire community, including our youngest residents,” said City Manager Seddrick Hill Sr.  “Diapers are expensive, so the city is thankful to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church for addressing this need and thrilled that so many concerned residents contributed to this worthwhile effort.”

During the two-month drive, residents dropped off diapers at City Hall, Talladega Armstrong-Osborne Public Library, and the Spring Street Recreation Center.
